The Land Around Paradise

Land clearing in Paradise, Texas is small ranch and horse property work. This stretch of Wise County along 114 is made of places between ten and a couple hundred acres, most of them running a few head or a few horses, and the problem is rarely a forest. It is brush: mesquite creeping out of the fence lines, cedar filling the draws, and greenbriar and elm coming up through pasture that used to be clean. Left alone for a decade it stops being pasture and starts being a thicket you cannot ride through.

Around Paradise, Boyd, Decatur, and Chico we handle mesquite and cedar removal, pasture reclamation, fence line corridors that let you actually work a fence, turnout and arena clearing on horse property, trail cutting, and grinding the pile that has been sitting in the back corner since the last storm. Forestry mulching grinds it all in place, so the material goes back into sandy Cross Timbers ground that needs the organic matter, and nothing gets burned or hauled.

Pricing is straightforward. Skid steer mulchers run $3,000 per day with transport included. High horsepower dedicated mulchers run $4,000 per day plus transport. Photos, aerials, or onX pins get most Wise County quotes done the same day. Call 512-400-2693 and a project manager will answer, seven days a week.

What Customers Say About Working With Us

Rated 5 out of 5

Outstanding operation! The big tree masticator ate cedar and mesquite standing as well as brush piles. Old trails cleared and widened. New trails created meandering through the property. Hardwoods left intact.

There is nothing I can say to truly express my gratitude for the work completed! Working with Taylor and Stephen was very easy and they made my once overgrown and unworkable land into a beautiful park like setting.

Absolutely outstanding quality work by Pierce Land Clearing. Two days into the clearing the operator became ill and with no delays a new operator was dispatched to complete the job on schedule. Without a doubt, would use them again.

Permits in Paradise

Rural Wise County clearing on your own land needs no permit, and agricultural work is exempt from most regulation in Texas. If your place carries an agricultural or wildlife management valuation, brush control usually supports it rather than threatening it, though it is worth a call to the appraisal district before a big change. We flag anything that needs attention when we quote the job.

How Long Does It Take?

Estimates usually happen within a few days of your call. Most residential jobs run one to three days on site, and larger acreage moves at several acres a day with the dedicated mulchers. One local quirk: post oak sand works wet a good deal better than clay does, so we lose fewer days to rain here than crews do east of the Trinity. You get a start window with your quote and a heads up before we roll in.

Paradise Land Clearing FAQs

Skid steer mulchers run $3,000 per day with transport included, for material up to 8 inches in diameter. High horsepower dedicated mulchers run $4,000 per day plus transport, for heavy cedar and bigger acreage. Most Paradise jobs are a day or two. Send photos and acreage and we will get you a real number, usually the same day.

Yes, and it is one of the most useful days you can buy. We cut a corridor wide enough for you or a fence crew to work both sides, take the mesquite and elm out of the wire, and grind it all in place instead of leaving you a windrow to deal with.

We plan for it. Horses need to be moved off the trap we are working and ideally out of sight of the machine, and we will tell you where to put them and when. Turnout and arena clearing is regular work for us, and we leave ground you can turn out on rather than a field of stobs.

Yes, and it is often cheaper than people expect. Pile grinding is exactly what the photos on this page show: stacked material in, mulch and clean ground out. No burn permit, no smoke, no waiting for the right wind.

On this ground, yes, and quickly. Mulched material becomes a mat that holds moisture and feeds the soil, and grass comes through it the same season. Our documented Dale job put nine acres back into pasture in two days on site and the grass followed.

With mulching, nothing needs to leave your property. Everything grinds into a mulch layer that protects the soil, holds moisture, and feeds the grass as it breaks down. There are no brush piles to burn and no haul off trucks to pay for, which is a big part of why mulching costs less than traditional clearing.

In heavy cedar a dedicated mulcher covers 1.5 to 2.5 acres a day depending on density, and open mesquite pasture runs faster. Skid steers average half to three quarters of an acre. You get a day count with the quote so you can plan the week.

Yes. Photos, an aerial screenshot, or onX pins with the areas marked get most Paradise quotes done the same day. Mark what stays and we will price the work without you waiting on a site visit.
