The sandy Cross Timbers ground around Alvord grows brush faster than almost anywhere in North Texas, which is why so many pastures out here disappear a few years after the cattle come off. Forestry mulching is the recovery tool that actually pencils: instead of dozing the topsoil into windrows, the machine grinds greenbrier, cedar, and mesquite into a mulch layer that protects the sand from blowing, holds moisture through the summer, and lets grass reestablish the first wet season. We clear fence lines so they can be ridden and rebuilt, open homesites without scalping them, and reclaim whole pastures at day rate prices you know in advance. Alvord sits right on the North Texas loop our machines already run, so scheduling is a matter of days, not months.

A lot of land clearing companies rent whatever the equipment yard has that week. We own purpose-built forestry machines and match them to your terrain. Not sure which machine your property needs? Try our cost calculator for an instant answer.
Our high horsepower dedicated mulchers run 300+ HP and chew through heavy cedar and mesquite at a pace no skid steer can match. That is how big tracts get cleared in days instead of weeks. We bring these machines when your material runs bigger than 8 inches in diameter and the property has access for an 11 foot wide machine.
For material up to 8 inches in diameter, our skid steer mulchers fill the gap. Subdivision lots, tree preservation, tight fence lines, and finish work around structures, they get in where the big machines cannot. Low ground pressure protects your topsoil, and they clear selectively around the oaks you want to keep.
The photos on this page are from our multi day cedar job at Jacksboro and our Cross Timbers ranch work, the same ground Alvord sits on. Our documented 3 acre selective homesite clearing project at Cleburne shows the full before and after treatment every job gets.

Send photos and property details for a fast quote, or meet us on-site and we will walk it with you. Either way you get a firm number, free.
Our crew and machines do the work, selectively and cleanly. The mulch stays right where it falls, protecting the soil and feeding the grass. No burn piles, and no haul off needed.
You get open ground, clean sightlines, and land you can actually use again. If your project calls for full site prep, we handle that too.
Every property prices a little differently. Scattered brush on sandy ground moves fast, a grown up thicket does not. Send us your address, lot size, and a few photos and we can usually put a real number on it the same day.
Most companies make you chase a number. Here is ours. The machine we bring depends on the size of your material and the access on your property.

Would recommend A++! Everyone throughout the entire process was a pleasure to work with. Job was done as scheduled and we are very pleased with the results! Our 5 acres never looked better!

They came out when they said they would and worked long days getting about 10 acres of mesquite cleared. It looks amazing now. Dillon is a hard worker and was able to advise on and execute a great strategy for attacking the project. I am very happy with the results.

Great job, turned a jungle into a park at a fair price, done just in time before the rain. Thanks.

Northern Wise County is unincorporated farm and ranch country, and there is no permit office between you and clearing your own brush. Near the LBJ National Grassland, know where your boundary sits before any machine work, and inside the small Alvord city limits check with the city first. The phone call costs nothing.
Estimates usually happen within a few days of your call. Most residential jobs run one to three days on site, and larger acreage moves at several acres a day with the dedicated mulchers. One local quirk: post oak sand works wet a good deal better than clay does, so we lose fewer days to rain here than crews do east of the Trinity. You get a start window with your quote and a heads up before we roll in.
Our pricing is a transparent day rate: $3,000 per day for the skid steer mulcher with transport included, or $4,000 per day plus transport for the high horsepower dedicated mulcher. Sandy post oak ground usually clears at the faster end of a machine’s pace, grown up thickets at the slower end. Send photos and acreage and we will tell you which machine and how many days before anything is scheduled.
On unincorporated Wise County land there is no permit office between you and clearing your own brush. Inside city limits, check with the city before grading or working close to creeks and easements, and check your deed restrictions if you are in a subdivision. We can talk through it on the phone before you commit to anything.
Material size decides it. Anything over 8 inches in diameter always gets the high horsepower dedicated mulcher. Under 8 inches on smaller properties, the skid steer mulcher fills the gap. Small hobby acreage usually fits the skid steer, full pastures get the dedicated machine.
It gets ground into mulch right where it falls. The mulch layer protects your topsoil, holds moisture, and breaks down into the ground. No burn piles, no haul-off trucks, and nothing left for you to deal with.
Yes, and most customers should. We flag or walk the keep trees with you first, then mulch everything else around them. Selective work takes a little longer than a full clear cut, which is why the two price differently, but you keep the shade and the property value.
Estimates usually happen within a few days of your call, and most residential jobs run one to three days on site. We run established loops through this part of Texas, so transport to Wise County is routine for us, not a special trip.
Neither. We clear half acre homesites and we clear tracts in the hundreds of acres, with a documented 127 acre public utility job on our books. The machines and crew scale to the work.
Yes, and faster than you would think. We mulch the brush standing, the root mat and mulch layer hold the sand, and with a rain or two behind it the bermuda and native grass come back through the chips. Most reclaimed pastures out here are grazeable again the next season.
Every job we publish carries the acreage, the machines, the days on site and what it actually cost. 45 projects documented across Texas so far.
