Wise County is where DFW money meets working ranch country, and land clearing here has to serve both. For the new landowner, that means turning a brush choked five or ten acres into a place you can actually walk, build on, and mow, without scraping away the topsoil that makes it worth owning. For the rancher, it means production clearing at a pace that makes financial sense, mesquite and cedar ground into mulch by the acre so grass can carry cattle again. Forestry mulching does both jobs cleaner than dozing: nothing burns, nothing gets hauled, the root mat holds the soil, and the mulch layer feeds it. We run purpose built mulching machines with transparent day rates, and Decatur sits on a North Texas loop we already service, so getting a machine here is routine.

A lot of land clearing companies rent whatever the equipment yard has that week. We own purpose-built forestry machines and match them to your terrain. Not sure which machine your property needs? Try our cost calculator for an instant answer.
Our high horsepower dedicated mulchers run 300+ HP and chew through heavy cedar and mesquite at a pace no skid steer can match. That is how big tracts get cleared in days instead of weeks. We bring these machines when your material runs bigger than 8 inches in diameter and the property has access for an 11 foot wide machine.
For material up to 8 inches in diameter, our skid steer mulchers fill the gap. Subdivision lots, tree preservation, tight fence lines, and finish work around structures, they get in where the big machines cannot. Low ground pressure protects your topsoil, and they clear selectively around the oaks you want to keep.
The photos on this page are from our own multi day cedar job at Jacksboro, and our documented 3 acre selective homesite clearing project at Cleburne shows a full before and after an hour south. Wise County sits squarely on the North Texas loop we already run.

Send photos and property details for a fast quote, or meet us on-site and we will walk it with you. Either way you get a firm number, free.
Our crew and machines do the work, selectively and cleanly. The mulch stays right where it falls, protecting the soil and feeding the grass. No burn piles, and no haul off needed.
You get open ground, clean sightlines, and land you can actually use again. If your project calls for full site prep, we handle that too.
Every property prices a little differently. A two acre ranchette pad is one day, a grown up mesquite pasture is another. Send us your address, lot size, and a few photos and we can usually put a real number on it the same day.
Most companies make you chase a number. Here is ours. The machine we bring depends on the size of your material and the access on your property.

Day rates help you budget. When you send photos or have us walk the property, you get a firm total for the whole job, free either way. For a deeper breakdown, read our guide on what it costs to clear land in Texas.
This company is simply the best. They are very professional, did the work they said they would do, it looks great, far beyond our expectations. They were on time and worked a full day. It is probably the best experience we have ever had with a contractor.

I had about 5 acres that had gotten out of hand with mesquite and cactus. They spent 2 days on the property with a root puller dozer, even in a storm on the second day! I am absolutely pleased with the work.

Great family owned business. Booked months out, they showed up on time, worked a full day. Cannot ask for more.

Unincorporated Wise County land has no permit office between you and clearing your own brush. Inside the Decatur city limits, check with the city before grading or working near creeks and drainage easements, and new ranchette subdivisions often carry deed restrictions worth reading first. We will tell you straight what applies to your property.
Estimates usually happen within a few days of your call. Most residential jobs run one to three days on site, and larger acreage moves at several acres a day with the dedicated mulchers. One local quirk: post oak sand works wet a good deal better than clay does, so we lose fewer days to rain here than crews do east of the Trinity. You get a start window with your quote and a heads up before we roll in.
Our pricing is a transparent day rate: $3,000 per day for the skid steer mulcher with transport included, or $4,000 per day plus transport for the high horsepower dedicated mulcher. Grown up mesquite pasture runs slower than scattered brush on sandy post oak ground. Send photos and acreage and we will tell you which machine and how many days before anything is scheduled.
On unincorporated Wise County land there is no permit office between you and clearing your own brush. Inside city limits, check with the city before grading or working close to creeks and easements, and check your deed restrictions if you are in a subdivision. We can talk through it on the phone before you commit to anything.
Material size decides it. Anything over 8 inches in diameter always gets the high horsepower dedicated mulcher. Under 8 inches on smaller properties, the skid steer mulcher fills the gap. Most new ranchette pads get the skid steer, most full pasture jobs get the dedicated machine.
It gets ground into mulch right where it falls. The mulch layer protects your topsoil, holds moisture, and breaks down into the ground. No burn piles, no haul-off trucks, and nothing left for you to deal with.
Yes, and most customers should. We flag or walk the keep trees with you first, then mulch everything else around them. Selective work takes a little longer than a full clear cut, which is why the two price differently, but you keep the shade and the property value.
Estimates usually happen within a few days of your call, and most residential jobs run one to three days on site. We run established loops through this part of Texas, so transport to Wise County is routine for us, not a special trip.
Neither. We clear half acre homesites and we clear tracts in the hundreds of acres, with a documented 127 acre public utility job on our books. The machines and crew scale to the work.
Start with a walk and a plan. We help you decide what stays, where the pad and drive go, and what order to clear in so you are not paying to touch the same ground twice. Then we mulch the brush, leave the keepers, and hand you a property you can finally see.
Every job we publish carries the acreage, the machines, the days on site and what it actually cost. 45 projects documented across Texas so far.
