The cheapest load is the one you never haul
The builder had already grubbed the pad. What was left was a pile of cedar, brush and root material sitting where a house was about to go, and the default answer to that is trucks. Loading and hauling grubbed material is one of the quietly expensive line items on a residential build, because you pay for the loading, the trucking and the tipping.
Running a mulcher over the pile instead can cut the volume by as much as five to one. Same material, a fraction of the loads.
One day with the Barko
The Barko 930B worked the pile down on the pad. What was a mound of tangled root and limb came out as mulch, which takes up far less room and can stay on site or leave in a fraction of the trucks.
Rock and a residential street
