The Land Around Georgetown

Land clearing in Georgetown, Texas is a local reference game, and we hold the references: a documented 12 acre selective clearing project inside Georgetown where every oak was preserved, and the San Gabriel flood cleanup photos sitting right on this page. When a company can show you its work on your own town’s ground, you are not gambling on the result.

Around Georgetown, Weir, Walburg, and Andice we handle cedar removal on the west side limestone, mesquite and brush clearing on the blackland east of 35, selective clearing that keeps your oaks, lot and homesite clearing, flood and storm damage cleanup, and fence line work on acreage. Everything grinds in place into mulch, so there are no burn piles, and haul off is generally not needed with mulching.

Pricing is straightforward. Skid steer mulchers run $3,000 per day with transport included. High horsepower dedicated mulchers run $4,000 per day plus transport. Photos or onX pins get most Georgetown quotes done the same day, whether you are in Serenada, out toward Andice, or east on the flats. Call 512-400-2693 and a project manager will answer, seven days a week.

Forestry Mulching 13

High Horsepower Dedicated Mulchers

Our high horsepower dedicated mulchers run 300+ HP and chew through heavy cedar and mesquite at a pace no skid steer can match. That is how big tracts get cleared in days instead of weeks. We bring these machines when your material runs bigger than 8 inches in diameter and the property has access for an 11 foot wide machine.

Land Clearing 6

Skid Steer Mulchers for Precision Work

For material up to 8 inches in diameter, our skid steer mulchers fill the gap. Subdivision lots, tree preservation, tight fence lines, and finish work around structures, they get in where the big machines cannot. Low ground pressure protects your topsoil, and they clear selectively around the oaks you want to keep.

Permits in Georgetown

Georgetown protects heritage trees inside the city limits, hardwoods above certain trunk diameters need city approval before removal, which mostly matters for development projects. Cedar and brush clearing on residential and ag land generally needs nothing, and outside the city limits Williamson County has no clearing permit at all. Floodplain rules apply along the San Gabriel forks and Berry Creek. We work these rules weekly and flag exactly what applies when we quote your job.

How Long Does It Take?

Estimates usually happen within a few days of your call. Most residential jobs run one to three days on site, and larger acreage moves at several acres a day with the dedicated mulchers. One local quirk: the Blackland clay east of I-35 gets greasy after rain, so we watch the weather and schedule around it rather than tearing up your ground. You get a start window with your quote and a heads up before we roll in.

Georgetown Land Clearing FAQs

Skid steer mulchers run $3,000 per day with transport included, for material up to 8 inches in diameter. High horsepower dedicated mulchers run $4,000 per day plus transport, for heavy cedar and bigger acreage. Most Georgetown lots run a day or two of skid steer work, and the cedar acreage west of town is where the big machines shine. Send photos and you will usually have a real number the same day.

That is our documented specialty in Georgetown: the 12 acre selective clear linked on this page took the cedar out and preserved every single oak. You flag what stays, we grind what goes, and the finished property looks like a park instead of a pasture fight.

Yes, and we have done it right here. After the San Gabriel flooding we ran an excavator and mulcher combination on damaged Georgetown ground, moving downed trees and grinding the debris in place. The before and after photos are on this page.

On your own residential or ag land outside the city limits, no. Inside city limits, Georgetown protects heritage trees above certain trunk sizes, which matters for development projects and large removals. Cedar and brush clearing usually sails through. We flag exactly what applies when we quote the job.

With mulching, nothing needs to leave your property. Everything grinds into a mulch layer that protects the soil, holds moisture, and feeds the grass as it breaks down. There are no burn piles, which matters in a county that spends half the summer under a burn ban, and haul off is generally not needed.

West of I-35 is classic Hill Country: cedar on limestone, rocky slopes, live oak mottes. East of 35 is blackland and post oak with mesquite creeping in. We run both weekly, and the machines are matched to each: tracked mulchers for the rock, fast skid steers for the flats.

Georgetown is home range, twenty minutes from our regular Williamson County rotation. Most jobs get on the calendar within a couple of weeks, and small lots often slot in sooner.

Yes. Photos, an aerial screenshot, or onX pins with the areas marked will get most Georgetown quotes done the same day. Flag your keep trees and we price around them.
