The Land Around Lampasas

Land clearing in Lampasas, Texas is spring country work with local proof attached: our documented cedar and fence line project at Lometa sits right in this county, photographed on this page. The Cut Plain cedar that drinks the springs and shades the grass comes out with high horsepower dedicated mulchers, and the ground goes back to work under a mulch layer that holds the soil.

Around Lampasas, Lometa, Kempner, and Adamsville we handle cedar removal and pasture reclamation, fence line and right of way clearing, homesite clearing along the 281 corridor, hunting lane cutting, storm cleanup, and brush work around tanks and pens. There are no burn piles waiting on a burn ban, and haul off is generally not needed with mulching.

Pricing is straightforward. Skid steer mulchers run $3,000 per day with transport included. High horsepower dedicated mulchers run $4,000 per day plus transport. Photos or onX pins get most Lampasas quotes done the same day, whether your place is on the creek, up 281, or out west toward Lometa. Call 512-400-2693 and a project manager will answer, seven days a week.

Forestry Mulching 13

High Horsepower Dedicated Mulchers

Our high horsepower dedicated mulchers run 300+ HP and chew through heavy cedar and mesquite at a pace no skid steer can match. That is how big tracts get cleared in days instead of weeks. We bring these machines when your material runs bigger than 8 inches in diameter and the property has access for an 11 foot wide machine.

Land Clearing 6

Skid Steer Mulchers for Precision Work

For material up to 8 inches in diameter, our skid steer mulchers fill the gap. Subdivision lots, tree preservation, tight fence lines, and finish work around structures, they get in where the big machines cannot. Low ground pressure protects your topsoil, and they clear selectively around the oaks you want to keep.

What Customers Say About Working With Us

Rated 5 out of 5

They did a great job for us. We had them clear our 4 acre residential lot of about 3 acres of cedar and yaupon. Some of the cedars were old and huge while other areas were very dense.

Great job, turned a jungle into a park at a fair price, done just in time before the rain. Thanks.

We are really happy with the work Pierce Land Clearing did for us! They were quick to respond to our initial inquiry, gave a free estimate on the work we wanted done, and completed the work quickly. All the machine operators were very nice.

Permits in Lampasas

Outside the Lampasas city limits, the county has no permit requirement for clearing your own land. Inside city limits the rules are light and mostly touch development. The considerations that come up are floodplain along Sulphur Creek and the Lampasas River, and burn bans that make mulching the default debris answer. We flag anything that needs attention when we quote the job.

How Long Does It Take?

Estimates usually happen within a few days of your call. Most residential jobs run one to three days on site, and larger acreage moves at several acres a day with the dedicated mulchers. One local quirk: the Blackland clay east of I-35 gets greasy after rain, so we watch the weather and schedule around it rather than tearing up your ground. You get a start window with your quote and a heads up before we roll in.

Lampasas Land Clearing FAQs

Skid steer mulchers run $3,000 per day with transport included, for material up to 8 inches in diameter. High horsepower dedicated mulchers run $4,000 per day plus transport, for old cedar and bigger ranch acreage. Send photos or onX pins and you will usually have a number the same day.

Plenty. Our written up cedar and fence line project in Lometa is in this county, linked first in the carousel below, and the fence right of way photos on this page are from that same Lampasas County work. This is home range, not a road trip.

Lampasas is the City of Springs, and the answer is all around town. Mature cedar drinks year round and intercepts rain before it reaches the ground. Clear the cedar off the ridges and draws and the seeps come back, the tanks hold longer, and the Sulphur Creek watershed gets its water back.

That is the core job on the Lampasas Cut Plain. Cedar and brush pull carrying capacity out of a pasture year over year, and mulching puts it back: brush ground in place, soil held by the mulch layer, and grass coming back through it the next season.

With mulching, nothing needs to leave your property. Everything grinds into a mulch layer that protects the soil and feeds the grass as it breaks down. There are no brush piles waiting on a burn ban to lift, and haul off is generally not needed.

It is documented on this very page: cedar ground off a fence right of way on our Lometa job in this county. Clean corridors let you see and fix your fence, and they double as firebreaks in dry years.

Lampasas is the crossroads of our western loop, 281 and 190 both run through our schedule weekly. Most jobs get on the calendar within a couple of weeks.

Yes. Photos, an aerial screenshot, or onX pins with the areas marked will get most Lampasas quotes done the same day. Mention gates and crossings and we will plan the machines accordingly.
