We bring these machines when your material runs bigger than 8 inches in diameter and the property has access for an 11 foot wide machine.
For material up to 8 inches in diameter, our skid steer mulchers fill the gap. Rural Guadalupe County clearing on your own land needs no permit, and agricultural work is exempt from most regulation in Texas. Inside Schertz city limits, clearing tied to a build runs through the normal permitting process. If your place carries an agricultural exemption, keeping it is worth a call to the county appraisal district before you change how the ground is used.
Estimates usually happen within a few days of your call. Most residential jobs run one to three days on site, and larger acreage moves at several acres a day with the dedicated mulchers. One local quirk: the blackland clay here gets greasy after rain, so we watch the forecast and schedule around it rather than tearing up your ground. You get a start window with your quote and a heads up before we roll in.
Priced by the machine day. A high horsepower mulcher is $4,000 per day plus transport, a skid steer mulcher is $3,000 per day with transport included, and dozer or excavator work is $3,000 per day plus transport. One day minimum on every machine. Most jobs around Schertz are one or two days.
Yes, and around Schertz it is common work. A skid steer mulcher fits where a bigger machine will not and leaves the ground mulched rather than rutted. We walk the access and the easements first, because on a tight lot those decide the machine more than the acreage does.
Yes. Old push piles grind faster than standing timber because the material is already down, and it saves you a burn permit and a weather window. Nothing gets hauled off.
Same answer as mesquite. Huisache comes back from the root if it is only topped, so ground you want to stay open needs the root taken out, which is excavator or dozer work. If the aim is to open up a place and make it usable again, mulching is faster and cheaper, and we will tell you which yours needs on the walk.

From the crown, yes, if it is only mulched. Mesquite resprouts from below the soil line, so on ground you want back in production properly the crown has to come out, which is dozer or excavator work rather than a mulching head. We will tell you which your ground needs.
Blackland clay is the reason we ask. Working saturated ground tears ruts that outlast the job and does not clear any faster. If your place is soaked we will tell you to wait rather than take the deposit and make a mess.
