A lot of land clearing companies rent whatever the equipment yard has that week. We own purpose-built forestry machines and match them to your terrain. Not sure which machine your property needs? Try our cost calculator for an instant answer.
Our high horsepower dedicated mulchers run 300+ HP and chew through heavy cedar and mesquite at a pace no skid steer can match. That is how big tracts get cleared in days instead of weeks. We bring these machines when your material runs bigger than 8 inches in diameter and the property has access for an 11 foot wide machine.
For material up to 8 inches in diameter, our skid steer mulchers fill the gap. Subdivision lots, tree preservation, tight fence lines, and finish work around structures, they get in where the big machines cannot. Low ground pressure protects your topsoil, and they clear selectively around the oaks you want to keep.
The photographs on this page are from clearing work on Texas ground of the same kind. For documented jobs with acreage, machines and day counts, see 6 acres of brush windrows cleared at Universal City and 4.2 acres of selective clearing at San Antonio.

Send photos and property details for a fast quote, or meet us on-site and we will walk it with you. Either way you get a firm number, free.
Our crew and machines do the work, selectively and cleanly. The mulch stays right where it falls, protecting the soil and feeding the grass. No burn piles, and no haul off needed.
You get open ground, clean sightlines, and land you can actually use again. If your project calls for full site prep, we handle that too.
Every place is different, so the number comes down to acreage, how thick the mesquite, huisache and hackberry has gotten, what you want left standing, and how the machines get through your gates. Transport to Guadalupe County is built into the quote up front, so the number you are given is the number you pay.
Most companies make you chase a number. Here is ours. The machine we bring depends on the size of your material and the access on your property.

Good communication. Professional. Worked fast but did a thorough job. The big mulcher did a great job of clearing land, including several large trees, and left a nice clean look.

We cannot say enough good about the incredible service we received. We have 30 acres we are preparing for our future home that has never been lived on or maintained. Bobby listened to our vision.

Rural Guadalupe County clearing on your own land needs no permit, and agricultural work is exempt from most regulation in Texas. Inside Cibolo city limits, clearing tied to a build runs through the normal permitting process. If your place carries an agricultural exemption, keeping it is worth a call to the county appraisal district before you change how the ground is used.
Estimates usually happen within a few days of your call. Most residential jobs run one to three days on site, and larger acreage moves at several acres a day with the dedicated mulchers. One local quirk: the blackland clay here gets greasy after rain, so we watch the forecast and schedule around it rather than tearing up your ground. You get a start window with your quote and a heads up before we roll in.
Priced by the machine day. A high horsepower mulcher is $4,000 per day plus transport, a skid steer mulcher is $3,000 per day with transport included, and dozer or excavator work is $3,000 per day plus transport. One day minimum on every machine. Most jobs around Cibolo are one or two days.
Usually, and it is worth walking before we quote. Tracked machines spread their weight, and we work bottoms when they are dry rather than fighting them wet. The mulch layer left behind holds the soil through a hard rain, which matters more on a bottom than anywhere else on the place.
Yes. Old push piles grind faster than standing timber because the material is already down, and it saves you a burn permit and a weather window. Nothing gets hauled off.
It depends on what is standing. Light brush on open ground moves fast and a machine can cover several acres in a day. Solid mesquite and huisache in a creek bottom is slower, sometimes an acre or two. You get a day count on the walk, and the day rate does not change, so the range is known before you book.
On rural Guadalupe County land you own, generally no, and agricultural work is exempt from most regulation in Texas. Inside the Cibolo city limit, clearing tied to a build goes through normal permitting. Check before you clear inside the limit.
From the crown, yes, if it is only mulched. Mesquite resprouts from below the soil line, so on ground you want back in production properly the crown has to come out, which is dozer or excavator work rather than a mulching head. We will tell you which your ground needs.
Blackland clay is the reason we ask. Working saturated ground tears ruts that outlast the job and does not clear any faster. If your place is soaked we will tell you to wait rather than take the deposit and make a mess.
Yes, along with the rest of Guadalupe County. Transport is a written line on the quote reflecting the distance.
It is mulched in place and left as a layer on the soil, which holds ground through a hard rain and slows what tries to come back. No hauling, no burning, no disposal fees.
Every job we publish carries the acreage, the machines, the days on site and what it actually cost. 53 projects documented across Texas so far.
We build ponds and stock tanks here too. On the sandy ground across Guadalupe County the first question is whether there is clay within digging depth, which is where our Cibolo pond page starts. The nearest pond we have documented is our one day stock tank at Dale, a tenth of an acre dug for cattle water, with photos, the day count and what it cost.
