The Land Around Rising Star

Land clearing in Rising Star, Texas is a long way from anywhere, which is exactly why the right machines matter: a job out here has to finish in one mobilization, not three. Our high horsepower dedicated mulchers grind old mesquite and cedar at ranch pace, the skid steers pick up lanes and fence rows behind them, and multi day jobs make the transport pay.

Around Rising Star, Cross Plains, May, and Carbon we handle mesquite and cedar clearing, pasture reclamation on the old peanut ground, hunting lane and sendero cutting, fence line and right of way clearing, and brush work around tanks. Everything grinds in place into mulch, so there are no burn piles, and haul off is generally not needed with mulching.

Pricing is straightforward. Skid steer mulchers run $3,000 per day with transport included. High horsepower dedicated mulchers run $4,000 per day plus transport. Photos or onX pins get most Rising Star quotes done the same day, whether your place is on 36, out toward Cross Plains, or down a sandy county road. Call 512-400-2693 and a project manager will answer, seven days a week.

High Horsepower Dedicated Mulchers

Our high horsepower dedicated mulchers run 300+ HP and chew through heavy cedar and mesquite at a pace no skid steer can match. That is how big tracts get cleared in days instead of weeks. We bring these machines when your material runs bigger than 8 inches in diameter and the property has access for an 11 foot wide machine.

Land Clearing 6

Skid Steer Mulchers for Precision Work

For material up to 8 inches in diameter, our skid steer mulchers fill the gap. Subdivision lots, tree preservation, tight fence lines, and finish work around structures, they get in where the big machines cannot. Low ground pressure protects your topsoil, and they clear selectively around the oaks you want to keep.

What Customers Say About Working With Us

Rated 5 out of 5

The Pierce Land Clearing team did an excellent job on our property near Gonzales, Texas. Johnathan arrived, started, and finished on time. When the machine had a hydraulic issue, they sent a mechanic on-site, and still managed to complete the work as scheduled. We recommend them and plan to use them again.

Came all the way out to Hallettsville to clear our property. The beast of a mulcher had our property done within a day. They were amazing to work with.

They did a phenomenal job cleaning up my 80 acres in Bellville of tree damage from the straight wind storm. Steve surveyed the property and gave me a quote that week, and Dustin worked diligently for 9 days to complete the project. Throughout, I got frequent updates. Outstanding team, outstanding job.

Permits in Rising Star

This is unincorporated ranch country outside the small city limits, and Eastland County has no permit office between you and clearing your own brush. The considerations that come up are floodplain along the creeks and lease terms if a hunting outfit runs your ground. We flag anything that needs attention when we quote the job.

How Long Does It Take?

Estimates usually happen within a few days of your call. Most residential jobs run one to three days on site, and larger acreage moves at several acres a day with the dedicated mulchers. One local quirk: post oak sand works wet a good deal better than clay does, so we lose fewer days to rain here than crews do east of the Trinity. You get a start window with your quote and a heads up before we roll in.

Rising Star Land Clearing FAQs

Skid steer mulchers run $3,000 per day with transport included, for material up to 8 inches in diameter. High horsepower dedicated mulchers run $4,000 per day plus transport, and out here the acreage usually earns the big machines. Send photos or onX pins and you will usually have a number the same day.

Yes. Rising Star anchors the western end of a loop we already run: our documented week of cedar grinding near Jacksboro and the ranch work photographed around Cisco and Brownwood all sit within an hour. Transport is quoted up front, and multi day jobs make the trip pay.

That is the West Cross Timbers mix: mesquite on the old fields, cedar in the breaks, and post oak holding the sandy ridges. Mulching grinds both invaders in one pass, and we are straight about mesquite: it resprouts, so plan follow up spraying to hold the gain, or grubbing for smaller counts.

Deer lease country responds fast out here. Senderos and lanes through the brush, mulched strips that green into feed, and opened draws that funnel movement all come out of a few days of machine work.

With mulching, nothing needs to leave your property. Everything grinds into a mulch layer that protects the sandy soil and feeds the grass. There are no brush piles waiting on a burn ban, and haul off is generally not needed.

Yes. Cedar and mesquite both drink year round and intercept rain before it soaks in. Clear the draws and ridges and the seeps come back, the tanks hold longer, and the peanut-country sand grows grass again instead of brush.

We batch our far western work so machines stay busy once they are out here. Most Rising Star jobs get on the calendar within two to three weeks, and pairing with a neighbor’s job gets everyone a better deal.

Yes. Photos, an aerial screenshot, or onX pins with the areas marked will get most Rising Star quotes done the same day. Mention gates and crossings and we will plan the machines accordingly.
