Land clearing in Stephenville, Texas is working-land economics: every acre of brush is grazing a dairy is not getting and turnout a horse operation cannot use. Our machines put those acres back to work, cedar and mesquite ground where they stand, piles ground where they sit, and the sandy Cross Timbers soil protected under mulch instead of scraped bare.
Around Stephenville, Dublin, Morgan Mill, and Huckabay we handle pasture reclamation for dairies and ranches, mesquite and cedar removal, arena and barn pad clearing, fence line and pen clearing, pile grinding, and hunting ground improvement. There are no burn piles waiting on a burn ban, and haul off is generally not needed with mulching.
Pricing is straightforward. Skid steer mulchers run $3,000 per day with transport included. High horsepower dedicated mulchers run $4,000 per day plus transport. Photos or onX pins get most Stephenville quotes done the same day, whether your place is on the Bosque, out toward Dublin, or up 281 toward Morgan Mill. Call 512-400-2693 and a project manager will answer, seven days a week.

A lot of land clearing companies rent whatever the equipment yard has that week. We own purpose-built forestry machines and match them to your terrain. Not sure which machine your property needs? Try our cost calculator for an instant answer.
Our high horsepower dedicated mulchers run 300+ HP and chew through heavy cedar and mesquite at a pace no skid steer can match. That is how big tracts get cleared in days instead of weeks. We bring these machines when your material runs bigger than 8 inches in diameter and the property has access for an 11 foot wide machine.
For material up to 8 inches in diameter, our skid steer mulchers fill the gap. Subdivision lots, tree preservation, tight fence lines, and finish work around structures, they get in where the big machines cannot. Low ground pressure protects your topsoil, and they clear selectively around the oaks you want to keep.
The hero photo on this page is from our own clearing work in Stephenville, and the carousel below leads with our written up 15 acre solid cedar clear at Hico, thirty minutes southeast. The Cross Timbers circuit through Granbury, Weatherford, and Jacksboro keeps machines in this country every month.

Our crew and machines do the work, selectively and cleanly. The mulch stays right where it falls, protecting the soil and feeding the grass. No burn piles, and no haul off needed.
You get open ground, clean sightlines, and land you can actually use again. If your project calls for full site prep, we handle that too.
Every place is different, so price comes down to a few things: acreage, how heavy the cedar and mesquite are, what stays, and access. This circuit is regular work, so the number you get is the number you pay.
Most companies make you chase a number. Here is ours. The machine we bring depends on the size of your material and the access on your property.

Pierce Land Clearing did a great job clearing mesquites and cedars from a field so we can plant. They got it done quickly and for a great price. Great folks.

They did exactly what we agreed on. Rare these days. Dustin showed up early and did a nice job. Great to work with.

Outside the Stephenville city limits, Erath County has no permit requirement for clearing your own land. Inside city limits the rules are light and mostly touch development. The considerations that come up are floodplain along the Bosque and its creeks, and dairy operation rules that make clean, burn-free clearing the right fit. We flag anything that needs attention when we quote the job.
Estimates usually happen within a few days of your call. Most residential jobs run one to three days on site, and larger acreage moves at several acres a day with the dedicated mulchers. One local quirk: post oak sand works wet a good deal better than clay does, so we lose fewer days to rain here than crews do east of the Trinity. You get a start window with your quote and a heads up before we roll in.
Skid steer mulchers run $3,000 per day with transport included, for material up to 8 inches in diameter. High horsepower dedicated mulchers run $4,000 per day plus transport, for old cedar and bigger ranch acreage. Send photos or onX pins and you will usually have a number the same day.
Yes, the hero photo on this page is from our own Stephenville job, and our documented week of cedar grinding at Jacksboro sits an hour north. The Cross Timbers dairy and ranch country is a regular circuit for us, not a special trip.
That is Erath County’s economy and we work to it: pasture reclamation for grazing, brush off fence lines and pens, arena and barn pad clearing, and turnout ground cleaned to safe, mowable condition. Cow capital and cutting horse country both need the same thing, grass instead of brush.
The Cross Timbers mix. Mulching grinds both in one pass, and we are straight about mesquite: it resprouts, so plan follow up spraying to hold the gain, or grubbing for smaller counts. Cedar stays gone.
With mulching, nothing needs to leave your property. Everything grinds into a mulch layer that protects the sandy soil and feeds the grass. Existing piles grind where they sit, like the ones photographed on this page. No burning, and generally no haul off.
Yes. Cedar and mesquite drink year round and intercept rain before it soaks in. Clear them off and the tanks hold longer, the seeps run, and the coastal and native grass take the ground back.
Stephenville anchors our Cross Timbers loop with Granbury, Weatherford, and Hico. Most jobs get on the calendar within a couple of weeks.
Yes. Photos, an aerial screenshot, or onX pins with the areas marked will get most Stephenville quotes done the same day. Mention gates and crossings and we will plan the machines accordingly.
