Rural Erath County clearing on your own land needs no permit, and agricultural work is exempt from most regulation in Texas. Inside Dublin city limits, clearing tied to a build runs through the normal permitting process. If your place carries an agricultural exemption, keeping it is worth a call to the county appraisal district before you change how the ground is used.
Estimates usually happen within a few days of your call. Most residential jobs run one to three days on site, and larger acreage moves at several acres a day with the dedicated mulchers. One local quirk: post oak sand works wet a good deal better than clay does, so we lose fewer days to rain here than crews do east of the Trinity. You get a start window with your quote and a heads up before we roll in.
Priced by the machine day. A high horsepower mulcher is $4,000 per day plus transport, a skid steer mulcher is $3,000 per day with transport included, and dozer or excavator work is $3,000 per day plus transport. One day minimum on every machine. Most jobs around Dublin are one or two days.
Yes, and around Dublin it is constant work. Cedar, mesquite and elm grown through the wire come out and you get a clean line back that you can see along and rebuild on. Clearing before you fence is cheaper than cutting a line through standing brush afterward.
Yes. Old push piles grind faster than standing timber because the material is already down, and it saves you a burn permit and a weather window. Nothing gets hauled off.
Faster here than most places we work. The sandy ground around Dublin drains well and usually carries a machine within a day or two. Low ground and creek bottoms are the exception. If your place will not take the weight yet we will tell you rather than tearing it up.

Cut cedar does not resprout from the stump the way mesquite does, so mulching it is a real fix rather than a delay. What returns is seedlings out of the seed bank and off neighbouring ground, which is a mowing question rather than a reclearing one. Keep after the small stuff and the job holds for years.
