We bring these machines when your material runs bigger than 8 inches in diameter and the property has access for an 11 foot wide machine.
For material up to 8 inches in diameter, our skid steer mulchers fill the gap. Subdivision lots, tree preservation, tight fence lines, and finish work around structures, they get in where the big machines cannot. Low ground pressure protects your topsoil, and they clear selectively around the oaks you want to keep.

Outside the Fredericksburg city limits, Gillespie County has no permit requirement for clearing brush and trees on your own land. Inside city limits the rules are light compared to the big metros, mostly touching development projects rather than landowners. The practical considerations out here are oak wilt best practices and floodplain along the Pedernales and its creeks. We flag anything that needs attention when we quote the job.
Estimates usually happen within a few days of your call. Most residential jobs run one to three days on site, and larger acreage moves at several acres a day with the dedicated mulchers. One local quirk: the Blackland clay east of I-35 gets greasy after rain, so we watch the weather and schedule around it rather than tearing up your ground. You get a start window with your quote and a heads up before we roll in.

Yes, and lately it is a big share of the calls. The drought years killed persimmons, pecans, and ornamentals all over town, and standing dead trees are a hazard and an eyesore. We take them down and grind them on site, stumps ground below grade where needed.
We take it seriously. Oak wilt is active in Gillespie County, so we avoid wounding live oaks during clearing, keep the mulching heads off the trunks you are keeping, and recommend scheduling any oak trimming for the cold or hot months when the beetles are inactive. Cedar and brush removal around oaks carries no oak wilt risk.
