Every place is different, so the number comes down to acreage, how thick the yaupon, post oak scrub and greenbriar has gotten, what you want left standing, and how the machines get through your gates. Transport to Henderson County is built into the quote up front, so the number you are given is the number you pay.
Most companies make you chase a number. Here is ours. The machine we bring depends on the size of your material and the access on your property.

Came all the way out to Hallettsville to clear our property. The beast of a mulcher had our property done within a day. They were amazing to work with.

We would highly recommend Pierce Land Clearing. Their professionalism and quick response to questions started with our initial communication with Preston. Dustin was the operator that did the work. The job was completed quickly and we were amazed by the final outcome.

On rural Henderson County land you own, clearing generally needs no permit and agricultural work is exempt from most regulation in Texas. Around Cedar Creek Lake it is different: Tool and the neighbouring lake cities have their own ordinances, many subdivisions carry deed restrictions, and work near the water line falls under the Tarrant Regional Water District which controls the lake. Check before you clear near the shore.
Estimates usually happen within a few days of your call. Most residential jobs run one to three days on site, and larger acreage moves at several acres a day with the dedicated mulchers. One local quirk: sand over clay in the bottoms stays soft long after the ridges have dried, so we work the high ground first when the weather turns. You get a start window with your quote and a heads up before we roll in.
Priced by the machine day. A skid steer mulcher is $3,000 per day with transport included and is usually the right machine on a lake lot, a high horsepower mulcher is $4,000 per day plus transport on bigger acreage, and dozer or excavator work is $3,000 per day plus transport. One day minimum on every machine. Most lake lot jobs here are one or two days.
Yes, and around Cedar Creek Lake it is most of what gets asked for. Yaupon mulches easily because the stems are small, so it is rarely the expensive part of a job. Be aware it comes back readily from the base, so plan a maintenance pass rather than expecting one clearing to hold for a decade.
Yes. An operator steers a mulcher, so the understory comes out and the canopy stays. On a lake lot that is normally the whole point, since the oaks are why the lot is worth what it is.
Possibly. Tool and the neighbouring lake cities have their own ordinances, many subdivisions carry deed restrictions, and work near the water line falls under the Tarrant Regional Water District which controls Cedar Creek Lake. Rural Henderson County acreage you own is generally exempt.
One day, and that holds on every machine we own. On a small lake lot the way to get value is to stack the work: the lot, the drive and the fence line in the same visit while the machine is already there.
Usually, with the skid steer. Send a photo of the road, the gate and the turnaround and we will tell you before you waste time on a quote.
Yes, plus Payne Springs, Kemp, Athens and the rest of the Cedar Creek shoreline. Transport is a written line reflecting the distance.
Ground in place and left as a mulch layer, which on sand also helps hold the ground through a hard rain. Nothing hauled off, nothing burned, no disposal fee.
Every job we publish carries the acreage, the machines, the days on site and what it actually cost. 41 projects documented across Texas so far.
