Round Rock is named for a rock, which tells you most of what you need to know about the ground. The Balcones fault runs through it, so a site can be prairie clay on one end and Edwards limestone on the other. We mill surface rock in place with an FAE STC/SSL rock mill, grinding it and the soil around it into a blended, compactable subgrade. That is mechanical soil stabilization, and nothing leaves the site to get it.
A rotating head with carbide teeth works the surface down in passes. Rock, caliche and the soil around them go through together and come back as a graded mix you can spread and compact. There is no digging out, no breaking into pieces somebody then has to move, and no truck involved.

Most people asking about soil stabilization around Round Rock have a subgrade that will not compact because rock and soil are sitting in layers rather than mixed. Grinding them together in place fixes that mechanically. If your engineer specified lime or cement, that is a different contractor and we will say so.
