Land clearing in Paige, Texas is yaupon country work on ground we know house by house. We have ground yaupon walls on Paige places, mulched cedar piles that sat for years, and documented three full projects within fifteen minutes of the blinking light. That is the reference depth you want before machines unload on your land.
Around Paige, McDade, and the 290 corridor we handle yaupon and cedar removal, pasture reclamation, burn pile grinding, homesite and driveway clearing, hunting ground improvement, and fence line clearing. Everything grinds in place into mulch, so there are no burn piles left behind, and haul off is generally not needed with mulching.
Pricing is straightforward. Skid steer mulchers run $3,000 per day with transport included. High horsepower dedicated mulchers run $4,000 per day plus transport. Photos or onX pins get most Paige quotes done the same day, whether your place fronts 290 or sits down a sandy lane toward the river. A lot of land clearing companies rent whatever the equipment yard has that week. We own purpose-built forestry machines and match them to your terrain. Not sure which machine your property needs? Try our cost calculator for an instant answer.
Our high horsepower dedicated mulchers run 300+ HP and chew through heavy cedar and mesquite at a pace no skid steer can match. That is how big tracts get cleared in days instead of weeks. We bring these machines when your material runs bigger than 8 inches in diameter and the property has access for an 11 foot wide machine.
For material up to 8 inches in diameter, our skid steer mulchers fill the gap. Subdivision lots, tree preservation, tight fence lines, and finish work around structures, they get in where the big machines cannot. Low ground pressure protects your topsoil, and they clear selectively around the oaks you want to keep.
Paige sits in the middle of our project map: the 127 acre LCRA clear and the 125 acre pasture reclamation at Elgin lead the carousel below, with the 40 acre Bastrop full clear right behind them, all within fifteen minutes of town. Few companies can show you three written up projects from your own school district.

Our crew and machines do the work, selectively and cleanly. The mulch stays right where it falls, protecting the soil and feeding the grass. No burn piles, and no haul off needed.
You get open ground, clean sightlines, and land you can actually use again. If your project calls for full site prep, we handle that too.
Every place is different, so price comes down to a few things: acreage, how solid the yaupon and cedar are, what stays, and access. Paige is home range, so the number you get is the number you pay.
Most companies make you chase a number. Here is ours. The machine we bring depends on the size of your material and the access on your property.

Paige is unincorporated Bastrop County, and there is no permit office between you and clearing your own land. The considerations that come up are floodplain along the creeks and the county road rules about mud and gravel. We flag anything that needs attention when we quote the job.
Estimates usually happen within a few days of your call. Most residential jobs run one to three days on site, and larger acreage moves at several acres a day with the dedicated mulchers. One local quirk: sandy loam over clay drains on top and holds underneath, so the high ground works sooner after rain than the bottoms do. You get a start window with your quote and a heads up before we roll in.
Skid steer mulchers run $3,000 per day with transport included, for material up to 8 inches in diameter. High horsepower dedicated mulchers run $4,000 per day plus transport, for solid thickets and bigger acreage. Send photos or onX pins and you will usually have a number the same day.
Many times. Some of our best documented yaupon clearing photos came off a Paige job, day one of grinding solid yaupon and cedar, and those pictures now show what this exact country looks like when the machines are done. Our written up Elgin and Bastrop projects sit fifteen minutes on either side of town.
Yaupon is the Paige signature crop. It fills the post oak understory into a solid wall, and mulching is the tool that beats it at acreage scale: the whole thicket grinds in one pass and the mulch slows the comeback while the grass gets started.
Yes, and the photos on this page show exactly that: big cedar piles that had been waiting on a burn ban for years, ground where they sat. No smoke, no permits, no watching the weather. Piles turn into mulch in a single pass.
With mulching, nothing needs to leave your property. Everything grinds into a mulch layer that protects the sandy soil and feeds the grass as it breaks down. There is no burning and generally no haul off.
All the time. Paige’s quiet stretch of 290 keeps filling in with homesites and weekend places, and we clear the pad, the driveway, and the yard while keeping the post oaks that make the lot worth having.
Paige is home range, on the 290 corridor we run every week between Elgin, McDade, and Giddings. Most jobs get on the calendar within a couple of weeks, and small lots often slot in sooner.
Yes. Photos, an aerial screenshot, or onX pins with the areas marked will get most Paige quotes done the same day. Flag the oaks you want to keep and we will price around them.
