Land clearing in La Grange, Texas comes with local proof: our West Point job photos are on this page, brush piles and overgrowth ground to open ground ten minutes from the courthouse square. Fayette County land is worth too much, as pasture and as heritage, to let the yaupon and mesquite keep taking it.
Around La Grange, Round Top, Fayetteville, and West Point we handle pasture reclamation, yaupon and mesquite removal, river bottom clearing, brush pile grinding, fence line and driveway corridors, and homesite clearing for the weekend places. Everything grinds in place into mulch, so there are no burn piles, and haul off is generally not needed with mulching.
Pricing is straightforward. Skid steer mulchers run $3,000 per day with transport included. High horsepower dedicated mulchers run $4,000 per day plus transport. Photos or onX pins get most La Grange quotes done the same day, whether your place is on the river, out toward Round Top, or down 77 toward Schulenburg. Call 512-400-2693 and a project manager will answer, seven days a week.

A lot of land clearing companies rent whatever the equipment yard has that week. We own purpose-built forestry machines and match them to your terrain. Not sure which machine your property needs? Try our cost calculator for an instant answer.
Our high horsepower dedicated mulchers run 300+ HP and chew through heavy cedar and mesquite at a pace no skid steer can match. That is how big tracts get cleared in days instead of weeks. We bring these machines when your material runs bigger than 8 inches in diameter and the property has access for an 11 foot wide machine.
For material up to 8 inches in diameter, our skid steer mulchers fill the gap. Subdivision lots, tree preservation, tight fence lines, and finish work around structures, they get in where the big machines cannot. Low ground pressure protects your topsoil, and they clear selectively around the oaks you want to keep.
The clearing photos on this page are from our job at West Point, in Fayette County, brush piles and overgrowth ground down to clean open ground. The project carousel below leads with our written up 40 acre full clear in Bastrop County, one county up the river.

Our crew and machines do the work, selectively and cleanly. The mulch stays right where it falls, protecting the soil and feeding the grass. No burn piles, and no haul off needed.
You get open ground, clean sightlines, and land you can actually use again. If your project calls for full site prep, we handle that too.
Every place is different, so price comes down to a few things: acreage, how solid the brush is, what stays, and access. Transport along 71 is a short hop for us, so the number you get is the number you pay.
Most companies make you chase a number. Here is ours. The machine we bring depends on the size of your material and the access on your property.

A great investment for our property. Showed up exactly when Preston said he would, worked hard all day long without a break with a beast of a machine. He had a very good understanding of what I wanted to do, and did it. The results are fantastic.

I had about 5 acres that had gotten out of hand with mesquite and cactus. They spent 2 days on the property with a root puller dozer, even in a storm on the second day! I am absolutely pleased with the work.

I could not be more pleased after hiring them to clear cedars off my land. They did exactly what I needed, and my place now looks amazing. I learned having the right equipment is key, and Pierce Land Clearing has it.

Outside the La Grange city limits, Fayette County has no permit requirement for clearing brush on your own land. Inside city limits the rules are light and mostly touch development. The real consideration is floodplain along the Colorado, which runs serious through this county, plus the usual county road rules. We flag anything that needs attention when we quote the job.
Estimates usually happen within a few days of your call. Most residential jobs run one to three days on site, and larger acreage moves at several acres a day with the dedicated mulchers. One local quirk: sandy loam over clay drains on top and holds underneath, so the high ground works sooner after rain than the bottoms do. You get a start window with your quote and a heads up before we roll in.
Skid steer mulchers run $3,000 per day with transport included, for material up to 8 inches in diameter. High horsepower dedicated mulchers run $4,000 per day plus transport, for solid growth and bigger acreage. Send photos or onX pins and you will usually have a number the same day.
Yes. The brush pile clearing photos on this page are from our job at West Point, ten minutes up the river from La Grange, and we run the 71 and 290 corridors through this county constantly. This is regular ground for us, not a road trip.
That is the core Fayette County job. Yaupon and mesquite have been taking the sandy loam pastures a fence line at a time, and mulching takes them back: brush ground in place, soil protected, and grass coming back through the mulch the next season.
With mulching, nothing needs to leave your property. Everything grinds into a mulch layer that protects the soil and feeds the grass as it breaks down. Existing brush piles grind where they sit, like the West Point piles on this page, and there is no burning and generally no haul off.
Yes. The Colorado bottoms carry heavy growth on rich soil, and our tracked machines work them without rutting the ground to pieces. Floodplain rules apply along the river and we flag them when we quote.
Constantly. Brush ground off both sides of the wire so you can see and fix your fence, plus lane and driveway corridors on acreage. Clean lines double as firebreaks in dry years.
La Grange sits on our regular loop between Bastrop, Giddings, and Columbus. Most jobs get on the calendar within a couple of weeks.
Yes. Photos, an aerial screenshot, or onX pins with the areas marked will get most La Grange quotes done the same day. Flag the live oaks you want to keep and we will price around them.
