SERVING EUSTACE & WESTERN HENDERSON COUNTY

Eustace Land Clearing & Brush Removal

Pierce Land Clearing works Eustace and western Henderson County back off the lake. This is pasture and small ranch country rather than shoreline lots, so the jobs run bigger, the machines get room, and the usual brief is taking back ground that closed in over a decade.

The Land Around Eustace

Eustace sits on the western side of Henderson County where the timber starts opening back up into pasture, and that transition is the useful thing to know about clearing here. Move a few miles east and it is closed canopy East Texas woods. Around Eustace and out toward Mabank you get more grazing ground, more hay meadows, and brush problems that look more like the rest of Texas: post oak and yaupon taking the edges, and a lot of ground that used to be open and is not anymore.

So the work splits. On pasture that has been let go, pasture reclamation gets the grass back, and fence line clearing gives you a straight run to build on. On the wooded tracts it is mulching to open the understory. Sandy ground here also handles machines better after rain than blackland does.

What Land Clearing Costs in Eustace

Every place is different, so the number comes down to acreage, how thick the Yaupon, sweetgum and briar has gotten, what you want left standing, and how the machines get through your gates. Transport to Henderson County is built into the quote up front, so the number you are given is the number you pay.

What Customers Say About Working With Us

Rated 5 out of 5

I had about 5 acres that had gotten out of hand with mesquite and cactus. They spent 2 days on the property with a root puller dozer, even in a storm on the second day! I am absolutely pleased with the work.

Pierce Land Clearing did a great job clearing mesquites and cedars from a field so we can plant. They got it done quickly and for a great price. Great folks.

Permits in Eustace

On rural Henderson County land you own, clearing generally needs no permit and agricultural work is exempt from most regulation in Texas. Inside Eustace city limits, clearing tied to a build runs through normal permitting.

How Long Does It Take?

Estimates usually happen within a few days of your call. Most residential jobs run one to three days on site, and larger acreage moves at several acres a day with the dedicated mulchers. One local quirk: sand over clay in the bottoms stays soft long after the ridges have dried, so we work the high ground first when the weather turns. You get a start window with your quote and a heads up before we roll in.

Eustace Land Clearing FAQs

Priced by the machine day. A skid steer mulcher is $3,000 per day with transport included and is usually right on a lot, a high horsepower mulcher is $4,000 per day plus transport on acreage, and dozer or excavator work is $3,000 per day plus transport. One day minimum on every machine.

Yes, and in Henderson County it is most of what gets asked for. Yaupon mulches easily because the stems are small, so it is rarely the expensive part of a job. It does come back readily from the base, so plan a maintenance pass rather than expecting one clearing to hold for a decade.

Yes. An operator steers a mulcher, so the understory comes out and the canopy stays. On East Texas ground that is usually the whole point, because the trees are why the place is worth what it is.

Sandy acid soil and real rainfall. Yaupon, sweetgum and briar fill the space under a canopy far quicker than brush does in the Hill Country, and a place that looked open five years ago can be a wall now. Budget a maintenance pass in year two or three rather than a second full clear in ten.

Possibly. The incorporated lake cities have their own ordinances, many subdivisions carry deed restrictions, and work near the water line falls under the Tarrant Regional Water District which controls Cedar Creek Lake. Rural Henderson County acreage you own is generally exempt.

One day, and it holds on every machine we own. On a small lot the way to get value is to stack the work: the lot, the drive and the fence line in the same visit while the machine is already there.

Yes, and sand is the reason it matters. A cut shoulder sloughs and a drive ruts under a loaded truck far more readily than it would on clay, so access work here wants base rock rather than shaping alone.

It is ground in place and left as a mulch layer, which on sand also helps hold the soil through a hard rain. Nothing hauled off, nothing burned, no disposal fee.
