SERVING EAGLE MOUNTAIN & NORTHWEST TARRANT COUNTY

Eagle Mountain Land Clearing & Brush Removal

Pierce Land Clearing works the Eagle Mountain Lake country northwest of Fort Worth. This is Cross Timbers ground, sandy loam under post oak with cedar filling every gap, and the tracts here are lake lots and small acreage rather than farm country. Most of what we do is taking the understory out and leaving the oaks.

Permits in Eagle Mountain

On rural Tarrant County land you own, clearing generally needs no permit and agricultural work is exempt from most regulation in Texas. Inside city limits and inside lake community developments it is different: municipal tree ordinances and HOA rules both apply around Eagle Mountain Lake, and some lots carry shoreline restrictions. Check before you clear, and ask us if you are not sure which set of rules your lot falls under.

How Long Does It Take?

Estimates usually happen within a few days of your call. Most residential jobs run one to three days on site, and larger acreage moves at several acres a day with the dedicated mulchers. One local quirk: post oak sand works wet a good deal better than clay does, so we lose fewer days to rain here than crews do east of the Trinity. You get a start window with your quote and a heads up before we roll in.

Eagle Mountain Land Clearing FAQs

Priced by the machine day. A skid steer mulcher is $3,000 per day with transport included and is usually the right machine on a lake lot, a high horsepower mulcher is $4,000 per day plus transport for bigger acreage, and dozer or excavator work is $3,000 per day plus transport. One day minimum on every machine.

Usually yes, and that is what the skid steer mulcher is for. It fits between structures and neighbours where a big machine has to go around. Send a photo of the access and we will tell you honestly whether we can get in before you waste time on a quote.

Yes, and on Cross Timbers ground that is normally the point. An operator steers a mulcher, so the cedar and greenbriar come out from between the oaks and the oaks stay. Mark what you want kept or walk it with us.

Possibly both around the lake. Municipal tree ordinances apply inside city limits and many lake communities have their own rules, with some lots carrying shoreline restrictions. On rural Tarrant County acreage you own, generally neither applies. Ask us if you are not sure which you are in.

Not from the stumps. Ashe juniper does not resprout once the stem is off below the lowest green limb. What returns is seedlings from seed in the soil, which is a mowing problem in a couple of years rather than a clearing problem.

Yes. Cut, crown, base rock and drainage, which on sandy loam matters more than people expect because an unshaped drive ruts fast under a loaded truck.

Yes, along with Saginaw, Haslet and the northwest Fort Worth side generally. Transport is a written line reflecting the distance.

Ground in place and left as a mulch layer. Nothing hauled off, nothing burned, no disposal fee and no truck route down a lake road.
