The Land Around Dallas

Land clearing in Dallas, Texas is commercial grade work on a metro clock. The DFW metroplex adds people faster than any region in America, and every subdivision, warehouse, and utility corridor starts with land that needs clearing, often land that has grown up thick while it waited on entitlement. We clear those tracts with forestry mulchers that turn brush into ground cover instead of burn piles, which matters in counties where open burning is off the table.

Around Dallas, Fort Worth, and the ring counties we handle development tract clearing, right of way and easement corridors, acreage and estate cleanup, Trinity bottom and creek corridor work, and fence lines on the ranch land the metro has not reached yet. Mulching in place means no smoke, no haul trucks, and finished ground the day the machines leave.

Pricing is straightforward. Skid steer mulchers run $3,000 per day with transport included. High horsepower dedicated mulchers run $4,000 per day plus transport. Photos, aerials, or a site plan get most DFW quotes done the same day, whether the tract is in Dallas County, Kaufman, Ellis, Rockwall, or out west toward Weatherford. Call 512-400-2693 and a project manager will answer, seven days a week.

Forestry Mulching 13

High Horsepower Dedicated Mulchers

Our high horsepower dedicated mulchers run 300+ HP and chew through heavy cedar and mesquite at a pace no skid steer can match. That is how big tracts get cleared in days instead of weeks. We bring these machines when your material runs bigger than 8 inches in diameter and the property has access for an 11 foot wide machine.

Land Clearing 6

Skid Steer Mulchers for Precision Work

For material up to 8 inches in diameter, our skid steer mulchers fill the gap. Subdivision lots, tree preservation, tight fence lines, and finish work around structures, they get in where the big machines cannot. Low ground pressure protects your topsoil, and they clear selectively around the oaks you want to keep.

What Customers Say About Working With Us

Rated 5 out of 5

The Pierce guys rocked our project out of the park! We had a commercial property that needed some grading and redesign of drainage for future development. They brought in a huge dozer and made light work of our needs.

These guys are fast and efficient. We used them on a project we thought was going to take them days and they got it done in a half day. We will definitely use them again, it was worth every penny.

Preston and all the folks at Pierce were absolutely great to work with. The job was done on schedule and as quoted, and done well. Price was very fair as well. Highly recommend Pierce Land Clearing.

Permits in Dallas

Dallas and the metroplex cities regulate trees more than anywhere else we work: Dallas has a tree ordinance with mitigation requirements for protected species on development sites, and most suburbs have their own versions. Rural land in the surrounding counties is far lighter, and agricultural clearing is exempt. The short version: on raw county land you are usually clear to go, inside city limits we check the ordinance first. We flag exactly what applies when we quote.

How Long Does It Take?

Estimates usually happen within a few days of your call. Most residential jobs run one to three days on site, and larger acreage moves at several acres a day with the dedicated mulchers. One local quirk: the Blackland clay east of I-35 gets greasy after rain, so we watch the weather and schedule around it rather than tearing up your ground. You get a start window with your quote and a heads up before we roll in.

Dallas Land Clearing FAQs

Skid steer mulchers run $3,000 per day with transport included, for material up to 8 inches in diameter. High horsepower dedicated mulchers run $4,000 per day plus transport, for heavy growth and big acreage. DFW work runs from acre lots on the metro edge to full development tracts. Send photos and acreage for a real number, usually the same day.

That is most of our Dallas work. Developers, civil contractors, and utility companies bring us tracts that need to be cleared on a schedule, and we deliver them grubbed, mulched, and ready for dirt work. We are comfortable with site plans, SWPPP constraints, and deadlines.

We do, and it is less exotic than it sounds. Our machines run I-35 constantly, transport is built into the quote, and for multi-day DFW projects the crew stays until it is done. Photo quoting means you have a number before we ever roll a truck.

With mulching, nothing needs to leave your property. Everything grinds into a mulch layer that protects the soil, holds moisture, and feeds the grass as it breaks down. There are no brush piles to burn and no haul off trucks to pay for, which is a big part of why mulching costs less than traditional clearing.

Carefully, yes. The Trinity forks and the creek corridors grow the thickest cover in Dallas County and they hold water. Tracked machines spread their weight, we time bottom work for dry stretches, and floodplain rules get checked before we start.

Yes. Utility corridors, pipeline right of way, and fence line easements through north Texas brush are steady work for us: clean widths cut to spec and mulch left down so the corridor holds.

In typical north Texas growth a dedicated mulcher covers 2 to 3 acres a day. Dense bottomland runs slower, open mesquite pasture faster. Skid steers average half to three quarters of an acre. We give you a day count with the quote.

Yes. Photos, an aerial screenshot, or onX pins with the areas marked get most Dallas area quotes done the same day. For commercial tracts, send the site plan and we will price from that.
