Clearing Land in Bee Cave, Where the View Is the Point

Bee Cave sits on the canyon country between Austin and Lake Travis, and out here the land itself is the luxury. Steep juniper covered slopes, shallow limestone, and live oaks that predate the highway. The most common call we get is view restoration: Ashe juniper grows fast enough to swallow a Hill Country horizon in a decade, and taking it out selectively brings back the view, cuts the fire load on the canyon, and hands the oaks back their water. This is precision work on expensive ground, and it is exactly what our low ground pressure machines are built for.

The rest of Bee Cave work is estate practicality: clearing homesites and view corridors from Falconhead out toward the lake, defensible space on the wildland edge, and dealing with the limestone under it all. Our Bee Cave rock milling turns ledge and loose rock into base material for driveways and pads, and the bulldozer crew handles the heavy dirt work when a build follows. Tight gates, established landscaping, pools, septic fields: we work around all of it, carefully.

High Horsepower Dedicated Mulchers

Our high horsepower dedicated mulchers run 300+ HP and chew through heavy cedar and mesquite at a pace no skid steer can match. That is how big tracts get cleared in days instead of weeks. We bring these machines when your material runs bigger than 8 inches in diameter and the property has access for an 11 foot wide machine.

Land Clearing 6

Skid Steer Mulchers for Precision Work

For material up to 8 inches in diameter, our skid steer mulchers fill the gap. Subdivision lots, tree preservation, tight fence lines, and finish work around structures, they get in where the big machines cannot. Low ground pressure protects your topsoil, and they clear selectively around the oaks you want to keep.

What Customers Say About Working With Us

Rated 5 out of 5

I cannot tell you how pleased I am with the work these guys did on my place. I have some very steep slopes and a lot of oaks and cedars. They used great judgement, not turning it into a field, using heavy machinery at a very fair price.

Permits in Bee Cave

Bee Cave takes its trees seriously, and so do we. The city has tree preservation rules, and removing larger protected trees typically requires a permit, while routine cedar and brush clearing usually does not. Along the Lake Travis shoreline, LCRA considerations can come into play, and outside the city limits in western Travis County requirements loosen considerably. We sort out exactly what applies to your property during the free walk through, before any work starts.

How Long Does It Take?

Estimates happen fast because Bee Cave is close, about twenty minutes from our South Austin yard. Many estate lots are a single day of skid steer work, and larger canyon properties run two to four days. If a protected tree permit is in play, city review adds lead time, and we flag that early. You get a start window with your quote and a heads up before we roll.

Bee Cave Land Clearing Questions, Answered

Many Bee Cave properties are estate lots where the whole job is a single skid steer day at our published $3,000 rate with transport included. Bigger canyon acreage brings the $4,000 per day dedicated machine into play. Send photos and your address and we can usually quote it the same week. You can also get an instant ballpark with our cost calculator.

That is one of our favorite Bee Cave jobs. Ashe juniper grows fast enough to swallow a Hill Country view in a decade, and selective cedar removal brings back the horizon, and the property value that comes with it, while every oak stays put.

Bee Cave takes its trees seriously. The city has tree preservation rules, and removing larger protected trees typically requires a permit. Ordinary cedar and brush clearing is usually fine. Yes. The west Austin corridor is active oak wilt territory. We clear selectively around keeper oaks, avoid cutting live oaks in the high risk season when possible, keep equipment clean between properties, and seal any oak cuts immediately.

Carefully, yes. Estate work is precision work. Our skid steer mulchers fit through standard gates, turn in tight spaces, and their low ground pressure protects lawns, driveways, and septic fields while we take out exactly what you want gone.

No. Bee Cave canyons are steep, rocky, and covered in juniper, and that is normal working ground for us. We match the machine to the slope and clear without tearing up the hillside or triggering erosion.

Yes, and on juniper covered canyon lots it matters. Thinning cedar and ladder fuels around your home is one of the most effective wildfire protections available, and mulching does it cleanly, without bare scraped earth.

With mulching, nothing needs to leave your property. Everything grinds into a mulch layer that protects the soil, holds moisture, and feeds the grass as it breaks down. There are no brush piles to burn and no haul off trucks to pay for, which is a big part of why mulching costs less than traditional clearing.

Shallow limestone is half the story out here. Our Bee Cave rock milling turns loose rock and ledge into usable base material on site, so driveways and pads come out of ground you already own instead of a quarry.

Fast. Bee Cave is about twenty minutes from our South Austin yard, so estimates happen quickly and smaller jobs slot into the schedule easily. Photos are enough to get your quote started.
