Bandera County is classic Hill Country: steep limestone ridges, canyons that fall away toward the Medina River, cypress in the bottoms, and Ashe juniper thick enough to swallow a fence line whole. Somewhere under all that cedar is the grass this county was built on. Clearing here is mostly a ranching story. Our high horsepower dedicated mulchers run 300+ HP and chew through heavy cedar and mesquite at a pace no skid steer can match. That is how big tracts get cleared in days instead of weeks. We bring these machines when your material runs bigger than 8 inches in diameter and the property has access for an 11 foot wide machine.
For material up to 8 inches in diameter, our skid steer mulchers fill the gap. Subdivision lots, tree preservation, tight fence lines, and finish work around structures, they get in where the big machines cannot. Low ground pressure protects your topsoil, and they clear selectively around the oaks you want to keep.

Most ranch and acreage clearing in unincorporated Bandera County needs no permit at all, which is one of the perks of country land. The exceptions worth knowing: floodplain rules along the Medina River and its creeks, septic and driveway work tied to county requirements if you are building, and local rules inside the city of Bandera itself. We flag anything that applies during the free estimate, before any work starts.
