Forestry Mulching 13

High Horsepower Dedicated Mulchers

Our high horsepower dedicated mulchers run 300+ HP and chew through heavy cedar and mesquite at a pace no skid steer can match. That is how big tracts get cleared in days instead of weeks. We bring these machines when your material runs bigger than 8 inches in diameter and the property has access for an 11 foot wide machine.

Land Clearing 6

Skid Steer Mulchers for Precision Work

For material up to 8 inches in diameter, our skid steer mulchers fill the gap. Subdivision lots, tree preservation, tight fence lines, and finish work around structures, they get in where the big machines cannot. Low ground pressure protects your topsoil, and they clear selectively around the oaks you want to keep.

What Customers Say About Working With Us

Rated 5 out of 5

Excellent work. Our property was complex as we wanted to save some trees, and the operator was amazing at maneuvering around them to clear the 7 acres we cleared.

They did a fantastic job clearing fence lines, opening up pastures and breaking trail in dense overgrowth. Taylor does a great job recommending the proper equipment for the job and being transparent.

Permits in New Fairview

Rural Wise County clearing on your own land needs no permit, and agricultural work is exempt from most regulation in Texas. Inside New Fairview city limits, clearing tied to a build runs through the normal permitting process. If your place carries an agricultural exemption, keeping it is worth a call to the county appraisal district before you change how the ground is used.

How Long Does It Take?

Estimates usually happen within a few days of your call. Most residential jobs run one to three days on site, and larger acreage moves at several acres a day with the dedicated mulchers. One local quirk: post oak sand works wet a good deal better than clay does, so we lose fewer days to rain here than crews do east of the Trinity. You get a start window with your quote and a heads up before we roll in.

New Fairview Land Clearing FAQs

Priced by the machine day. A high horsepower mulcher is $4,000 per day plus transport, a skid steer mulcher is $3,000 per day with transport included, and dozer or excavator work is $3,000 per day plus transport. One day minimum on every machine. Most jobs around New Fairview are one or two days.

Yes, and it is worth planning before the machine arrives. Walk the tract, pick the trees you want framing the house, and we clear the pad and drive around them. Trees you keep on a wooded lot are worth real money at resale and they cannot be put back once they are down.

Yes. Old push piles grind faster than standing timber because the material is already down, and it saves you a burn permit and a weather window. Nothing gets hauled off.

Most are one to two machine days depending on how thick it is and how long the drive runs. One day is the minimum on every machine, so if there is fence line or pasture you also want opened it is usually worth doing while the equipment is already on the ground.

On rural Wise County land you own, generally no, and agricultural work is exempt from most regulation in Texas. Inside the New Fairview city limit, clearing tied to a build goes through normal permitting. Check before you clear inside the limit.

Cut cedar does not resprout from the stump the way mesquite does, so mulching it is a real fix rather than a delay. What returns is seedlings out of the seed bank and off neighbouring ground, which is a mowing question rather than a reclearing one. Keep after the small stuff and the job holds for years.

Less of a problem here than out on the blackland. Sandy ground around New Fairview drains fast and we can usually work within a day or two of rain. Creek bottoms and low ground are the exception and we will say so when we walk it.

Yes, along with the rest of Wise County. Transport is a written line on the quote reflecting the distance.

It is mulched in place and left as a layer on the soil, which holds ground through a hard rain and slows what tries to come back. No hauling, no burning, no disposal fees.
