The Magnolia and 1488 corridor is turning pine woodland into homesites faster than almost anywhere in the Houston region, and yaupon is the tax every acre pays first. Forestry mulching is built for exactly this ground: the machine grinds the understory into a clean chip layer, the pines you keep stay healthy with room to breathe, and the hardwoods never feel a blade. There is nothing to burn during a burn ban and nothing to haul down a two lane farm road. We clear building pads and drives for new construction, cut the brush back off established acreage, reclaim old pasture, and open fence lines that disappeared years ago. Transparent day rates, honest machine choices, and a southeast Texas loop our crews already run through Montgomery County.

A lot of land clearing companies rent whatever the equipment yard has that week. We own purpose-built forestry machines and match them to your terrain. Not sure which machine your property needs? Try our cost calculator for an instant answer.
Our high horsepower dedicated mulchers run 300+ HP and chew through heavy cedar and mesquite at a pace no skid steer can match. That is how big tracts get cleared in days instead of weeks. We bring these machines when your material runs bigger than 8 inches in diameter and the property has access for an 11 foot wide machine.
For material up to 8 inches in diameter, our skid steer mulchers fill the gap. Subdivision lots, tree preservation, tight fence lines, and finish work around structures, they get in where the big machines cannot. Low ground pressure protects your topsoil, and they clear selectively around the oaks you want to keep.
The photos on this page are from our pasture reclamation and fence line work at Hempstead, one county west of Magnolia on the same ground. For the full documented treatment, our 40 acre full land clearing project at Bastrop shows forty acres of pine country brush taken to finished ground.

Send photos and property details for a fast quote, or meet us on-site and we will walk it with you. Either way you get a firm number, free.
Our crew and machines do the work, selectively and cleanly. The mulch stays right where it falls, protecting the soil and feeding the grass. No burn piles, and no haul off needed.
You get open ground, clean sightlines, and land you can actually use again. If your project calls for full site prep, we handle that too.
Every property prices a little differently. Yaupon understory under pines clears differently than open pasture gone to brush. Send us your address, lot size, and a few photos and we can usually put a real number on it the same day.
Most companies make you chase a number. Here is ours. The machine we bring depends on the size of your material and the access on your property.

There is nothing I can say to truly express my gratitude for the work completed! Working with Taylor and Stephen was very easy and they made my once overgrown and unworkable land into a beautiful park like setting.

Fast response to my inquiries. Great to work with! They went above and beyond to help me out with some root balls and lots of trees from the ice storm. We will be using them again.

Most acreage around Magnolia is unincorporated Montgomery County, and there is no permit office between you and clearing your own brush. Inside the city limits and in the master planned sections off 1488, deed restrictions and drainage rules apply, so read your restrictions before dirt work. We are happy to talk it through first.
Estimates usually happen within a few days of your call. Most residential jobs run one to three days on site, and larger acreage moves at several acres a day with the dedicated mulchers. One local quirk: sand over clay in the bottoms stays soft long after the ridges have dried, so we work the high ground first when the weather turns. You get a start window with your quote and a heads up before we roll in.
Our pricing is a transparent day rate: $3,000 per day for the skid steer mulcher with transport included, or $4,000 per day plus transport for the high horsepower dedicated mulcher. Yaupon understory runs slower than open field brush, and most Magnolia jobs are yaupon. Send photos and acreage and we will tell you which machine and how many days before anything is scheduled.
On unincorporated Montgomery County land there is no permit office between you and clearing your own brush. Inside city limits, check with the city before grading or working close to creeks and easements, and check your deed restrictions if you are in a subdivision. We can talk through it on the phone before you commit to anything.
Material size decides it. Anything over 8 inches in diameter always gets the high horsepower dedicated mulcher. Under 8 inches on smaller properties, the skid steer mulcher fills the gap. Acreage subdivision lots usually fit the skid steer, raw wooded tracts get the dedicated machine.
It gets ground into mulch right where it falls. The mulch layer protects your topsoil, holds moisture, and breaks down into the ground. No burn piles, no haul-off trucks, and nothing left for you to deal with.
Yes, and most customers should. We flag or walk the keep trees with you first, then mulch everything else around them. Selective work takes a little longer than a full clear cut, which is why the two price differently, but you keep the shade and the property value.
Estimates usually happen within a few days of your call, and most residential jobs run one to three days on site. We run established loops through this part of Texas, so transport to Montgomery County is routine for us, not a special trip.
Neither. We clear half acre homesites and we clear tracts in the hundreds of acres, with a documented 127 acre public utility job on our books. The machines and crew scale to the work.
That is the standard Magnolia job. The mulcher works under and around the canopy, grinding yaupon and brush while the pines and oaks stay untouched. You end up with a park look: big trees, open ground, and a mulch floor that keeps the understory from coming right back.
Every job we publish carries the acreage, the machines, the days on site and what it actually cost. 41 projects documented across Texas so far.
See all our documented projectsFrom Magnolia we cover Pinehurst, Todd Mission, Plantersville, Stagecoach, Dobbin, and the corridor in every direction. Close by we also serve Tomball, Waller, Hockley, and Conroe on the same southeast Texas loop.
