Rural Comal County clearing on your own land needs no permit, and agricultural work is exempt from most regulation in Texas. Inside Bulverde city limits, clearing tied to a build runs through the normal permitting process. If your place carries an agricultural exemption, keeping it is worth a call to the county appraisal district before you change how the ground is used.
Estimates usually happen within a few days of your call. Most residential jobs run one to three days on site, and larger acreage moves at several acres a day with the dedicated mulchers. One local quirk: rock, not mud, sets the pace here. Limestone sits close to grade, so we plan around what is under the topsoil more than around the forecast. You get a start window with your quote and a heads up before we roll in.
Priced by the machine day. A high horsepower mulcher is $4,000 per day plus transport, a skid steer mulcher is $3,000 per day with transport included, and dozer or excavator work is $3,000 per day plus transport. One day minimum on every machine. Most jobs around Bulverde are one or two days.

Less of a problem here than out on the blackland. The rocky ground around Bulverde drains fast and we can usually work it within a day or two of rain. Low ground and creek bottoms are the exception and we will say so when we walk it.
