Blooming Grove is farm country and it still works like farm country. The land here is deep blackland running north toward Frost and Barry, mostly hay meadows, small cattle operations and dryland fields, and the clearing problems reflect that. Nobody around here is fighting cedar. What they are fighting is mesquite creeping in from the fence rows, huisache in the wet spots, and elm and hackberry that take a creek bottom and then start taking the field.
On working ground the sequence matters. Pasture reclamation gets the grass back, but if mesquite is the problem it has to come out at the crown or it is back in three seasons, so that is grubbing rather than mulching. Clear the line before you build the fence, not after, and if the field roads are rutted out we can bring in base and fix that in the same trip.

A lot of land clearing companies rent whatever the equipment yard has that week. We own purpose-built forestry machines and match them to your terrain. Not sure which machine your property needs? Try our cost calculator for an instant answer.
Our high horsepower dedicated mulchers run 300+ HP and chew through heavy cedar and mesquite at a pace no skid steer can match. That is how big tracts get cleared in days instead of weeks. We bring these machines when your material runs bigger than 8 inches in diameter and the property has access for an 11 foot wide machine.
For material up to 8 inches in diameter, our skid steer mulchers fill the gap. Subdivision lots, tree preservation, tight fence lines, and finish work around structures, they get in where the big machines cannot. Low ground pressure protects your topsoil, and they clear selectively around the oaks you want to keep.

Send photos and property details for a fast quote, or meet us on-site and we will walk it with you. Either way you get a firm number, free.
Our crew and machines do the work, selectively and cleanly. The mulch stays right where it falls, protecting the soil and feeding the grass. No burn piles, and no haul off needed.
You get open ground, clean sightlines, and land you can actually use again. If your project calls for full site prep, we handle that too.
Every place is different, so the number comes down to acreage, how thick the mesquite and elm has gotten, what you want left standing, and how the machines get through your gates. Transport to Navarro County is built into the quote up front, so the number you are given is the number you pay.
Most companies make you chase a number. Here is ours. The machine we bring depends on the size of your material and the access on your property.

Never easy to write a big check, but well worth it. After two days they completely transformed a ten acre holly-choked mess into an open and inviting forest. Taylor bid the job and recommended the larger dozer-sized forestry mulcher.

We would highly recommend Pierce Land Clearing. Their professionalism and quick response to questions started with our initial communication with Preston. Dustin was the operator that did the work. The job was completed quickly and we were amazed by the final outcome.

Taylor is a great guy and definitely knows his stuff. His level of experience can help to avoid problems before they happen. Also one of the few companies that has access to a variety of machine sizes to be able to tackle nearly any job.

On rural Navarro County land you own, clearing generally needs no permit and agricultural work is exempt from most regulation in Texas. Inside Blooming Grove city limits, clearing tied to a build runs through normal permitting.
Estimates usually happen within a few days of your call. Most residential jobs run one to three days on site, and larger acreage moves at several acres a day with the dedicated mulchers. One local quirk: the blackland clay here gets greasy after rain, so we watch the forecast and schedule around it rather than tearing up your ground. You get a start window with your quote and a heads up before we roll in.
Priced by the machine day. A high horsepower mulcher is $4,000 per day plus transport, a skid steer mulcher is $3,000 per day with transport included, and dozer or excavator work is $3,000 per day plus transport. One day minimum on every machine. Most fence row and field edge work around Blooming Grove is one or two days.
Yes, and on Navarro County farm ground it is most of what we do. mesquite and elm grown through the wire, taken back to a clean line you can build on and see along. Clear before you fence rather than after; a line cut through standing brush costs more and comes out crooked.
Blackland clay is the reason we ask. Working saturated ground tears ruts that outlast the job and does not clear any faster. If your place is soaked we will tell you to wait rather than take a deposit and make a mess of it.
From the crown, yes, if it is only mulched. Mesquite resprouts from below the soil line, so on ground you want back in production the crown has to come out, which is dozer or excavator work rather than a mulching head. We will tell you which your ground needs.
Yes. Old push piles grind faster than standing timber because the material is already down, and it saves you a burn permit and a weather window. Nothing gets hauled off.

It is mulched in place and left as a layer on the soil, which holds ground through a hard rain and slows what tries to come back. No hauling, no burning, no disposal fees.
It can, depending on what you change the ground to. Clearing brush back to grazeable pasture usually supports the exemption rather than threatening it, but a call to the Navarro County appraisal district before you change land use is worth the ten minutes.
